To provide its features, JOTE saves data directly on your iPhone (and iCloud, if enabled). This includes:

• Journal & Mood Data: The specific emotions, energy levels, context tags, and written journal entries you create.
• Usage Statistics: Anonymous data such as your current streak, total check-ins, and emotional stability metrics. This is used solely to generate your personal insights within the app.
• App Preferences: Settings like your "Early Bird" status, notification schedules, and breathing animation preferences.

How We Use This Data

The data stored on your device is used exclusively to ensure the app functions as intended:

• To visualize your "Mood Calendar" and "Energy Flow" charts.
• To calculate personalized insights like your "Emotional Home Base" and "Context Impacts."
• To sync your history across your devices using Apple's secure CloudKit framework.

Data Storage & CloudKit

Your data is stored locally on your device. If you have iCloud enabled, JOTE uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data between your devices. This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only by you. We (the developers) do not have access to your CloudKit data.

Third-Party Services

JOTE does not use any third-party tracking or analytics services. We do not share your data with advertising networks.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information on our own servers, we have no way of identifying a user's age.
